Visitors often ask us about recipes and Spanish food. Julio loves to cook and would be happy to share his knowledge. Should you be interested, you buy the food and he will cook it with you!
For three years we have been open weekday mornings (now only Monday, Wednesday and Friday) giving away books and only asking for charity donations. The room next to our front entrance is full of books in many languages but mostly in English. So, should you be short of reading matter, we can supply it. Both apartments are well stocked with books anyway!
Julio was filmed by Spanish national TV channel 'Antena 3' at the end of August 2010. 'My House is the Best' is a competition, four houses competing against each other and he was our host. Julio has made wine from our own grapes for the second year - 86 litres. It is a semi-sweet wine in the style of those typical of Málaga and strong - 17%.
Julio does language exchange classes - Spanish, English - with various people in the pueblo. If you wish to have some conversation experience, or just want to pick up some basic phrases, why not join in or have a lesson with him while you are staying with us!

The long-awaited new municipal indoor swimming pool opened at the end of January. The old outdoor, non-heated pool has been converted into a year round facility and is described as being "totally ecological" as it uses biomass and solar energy to heat it and a specialist ozone system to clean it.
